First granted its charter in 1997, SEA Charter School works with youth who are struggling academically and at high risk for delinquency. SEA Charter School is a WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) accredited community day school operating seventeen (17) education centers throughout Los Angeles County.
WHO WE SERVE
SEA Charter School serves at-risk and disadvantaged youth, ages 14 to 18, who are on probation, credit-deficient, or have been expelled from school. We provide a rigorous academic curriculum, credit-recovery, and a comprehensive set of social and wrap-around services to both youth and their families.
Our goal at SEA Charter School is not only to help students succeed academically, but, even more importantly, to help them grow to become responsible, contributing adults. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of the students who enter SEA Charter School successfully exit the program after catching up on their credits either by graduating from the school, returning to their home school, or by entering a more appropriate learning environment.
SEA Charter School offers continuous year-round enrollment. Please contact your local SEA site and speak with the office manager for more information. Look in the sidebar to the right for a complete list of school sites and contact information.
