SEA EARNS SIX YEARS OF WASC ACCREDITATION

SEA reached a new milestone this April, when, for the first time in its history, it officially earned WASC accreditation. This enormous achievement was the product of months of tireless effort from SEA’s dedicated WASC team and the entire SEA staff. SEA earned a full six years of WASC accreditation, the maximum length of time for which a school can be accredited. The significance of this great achievement for both SEA and its students cannot be over-stated. WASC accreditation will open up multiple new avenues of opportunity for graduating SEA students. From now on, SEA graduates will be able to readily present their high school diplomas to colleges, military recruiters or employers, who will immediately recognize SEA as an approved and academically demanding school. This should provide students an easier, smoother path to post-graduate success.

This terrific achievement would not have been possible without the hard work put forward by SEA’s tireless WASC team, led by Felipe Vasquez, and by all of the terrific school staff who worked so hard during the WASC visits to the
school sites.
